My Family Coat Of Arms

Gurney Coat of Arms
Each square stands for a person in my family.
The top left box is dad, Ashley.  The Griffin means valiant, soldier and vigilance.  It is red because that's dad’s favourite colour and red means warrior, strength, martyr and military strength … This also represents his job as a Senior Sergeant.
The top right box is mum which is an eagle .  The eagle stands for protector, a person of action, noble nature, strength and power.  This is mum.  The bird is red because of her strength as a person and in our family.  Mums box is green because it's her favourite colour and it stands for loyalty and love which she always has for us.

Olivia-Rose is the bottom left box.  Her picture is a. Boar because they are strong and fierce fighters like her….especially with her football.   The boar is red too because she is a warrior on the football pitch and a fighter at home but she is also strong  in our family.  The background is blue because she strong and loyal towards our family.

I am the bottom right square and I am a stag which means lover of harmony.  I always want everyone in our family to be safe and happy and it upset me I'd they are not.  The stag is blue because it means strong and loyal towards my family which I am and the green background is for hope, loyalty and love which matches the stag.

Our motto is Together Always because we are strong and always try to be together and will always be a family.

Week 1 The Start Of Term 3

Week 1 of Term 3 has just ended. During week one Ruby and I made a matrix it was amazing. For Novice we did saver, Apprentice was detective,
Practitioner was discoverer and Expert was Scientist.
Everyone in the class had to come up with an environmental question for our individual inquiry my was , What is coal made from and what's in it to keep it a solid.
Our week also included of doing a H.O.M activity in a group of 4. Our group included of Ruby, Emma, Sienna and I. We got an extra person Eva , because she did not have a group. What we had to do was match the H.O.M pictures with, titles and descriptions.
My favourite activity was building a shelter for a baby monkey. But we could only use 3 materials. Here are the three we used, a cardboard box bubble wrap and one of those big rubbish bags.

We of course did an activity where we had to make a dice game.

The game is just below,

Math Dice Game Sophie, Nina and Ruby
Materials needed
  • 2 dice
  • 1 piece of paper
  • A flat surface
  • A Number of players (2-5)

Rules/how to play - roll 2 Dice and x it by the number you get

Eg- if you roll a 2 and on the Dice you roll a 5 it's 2x5=10 another is 6x6=36 of 5x4=20. If you get it wrong the other players get to choose a harder one and you only get 20 seconds to answer or you are out or if it’s wrong you get three chances
