Going to America

It was a normal school day, well for my friends. It was the day I flew and landed in America.

We were getting ready for singing (it was in our class because the auditorium and hall were booked). I knew there was 45 minutes till I left school but it just didn't feel real at all.

We were singing at full volume not being able to hear the bell go off so I had no clue I had to leave until I checked the time It was 12:35 I had to go or we would miss our flight.

I rushed up to the teachers to get a goodbye hug (which I was not expecting) then I ran straight to the office where my dad was supposedly meant to meet me but instead met me by the class.

We went home and got ready because we had to be at the airport at 4:30 on the dot. We arrived at the airport right on time to fly to Auckland.

In Auckland We went through customs but came to a holt because my sister had accidentally packed two pairs of scissors because she packed her school pencil case.

As we were waiting we heard our last boarding call which means the gate was about to close.

We packed my sisters stuff up and sprinted to our gate which a random lady told us was the closest gate but no it was by far the furthest gate. We had just made it and were the last people boarding! See you soon New Zealand!

The Amazing Trip to Taupo

“Wahoooooooo it’s time to pick up Emma to go to Taupo” I screamed across the living room.My sister not so excited but she still had a friend coming. It was just that there was well no wifi.

“Seriously” I said to my sister who had a scrunched up look on her face.

“Right girls it’s time to say goodbye to dad” said my mum. My sister and I sprinted to my dad gave him a hug and then said goodbye. Next off to Emma’s house. As we drove down Emma’s street I started getting super nervous.Like what if she doesn’t want to come or what if we get into a big fight. Well I hope neither of those things happen I said to myself. I hopped out of the car and ran to Emma’s door and guess what she was already waiting for us to pick her up.

We then drove and picked my sister Olivia’s friend up then headed on up to Taupo. On the way there Emma my sister and I were all squished in the back while Mckenzie (Olivia’s friend) got the luxury of being in the front but I wanted to be in the back so I could sit next to Emma. We had stocked up on food that morning so we had bags on bags on bags of snacks in the car (which lasted us our whole trip).I won’t get into to much detail of how we got here but we only stopped once which surprised me because we usually stop ten times. Well! that’s an over exaggeration but you know what I mean.Our stop was in Taihape. We went to a little cafe and got hot chips and get this, Emma’s tooth fell out. During our trip we went to the hot pools (which were super hot btw),we also went on lots of bush walks. Then we had to leave of course which was really sad.

Driving into Camp

“Turn the radio  up” I pleaded to my Dad.

“But we are almost there” he complained.

“OMG OMG OMG” I said in excitement.

I could already hear the screaming children who had just arrived, soon that would be me. We turned around a tight corner and  travelled down the gravel driveway. Down this driveway we encountered a sighting of large cows grazing in the peaceful fields and tall trees with over whelmed little birds. Then I came to this bizarre paddock with one big target. I was shocked to see an oversized but merry sheep. That was by far the most random thing I saw at camp. There was one more narrow corner that lead us to the beautiful camp. I thought it would be muddy and gross but it was amazing, until I hopped out of the car and found out I was staying three days in the smelliest place on earth. Ok that was an over exaggeration. We were finally here. All the kids were wild animals exploring every inch of the camp with curiosity. The parents were spending this valuable break time to catch up with other parents and  enjoy the lovely warm sun.

My Graphic Design

Recently our class got into groups and had to make a graphic design. My group included of 2 people, Me (Nina) and Caroline. We found it very hard to come up with something for our habit of mind so we got some help from our lovely teacher Miss Gordon. This is our finished product. 

Christmas Morning

“Muuuuummmmmm when will nana and grandad get here?” I questioned as I ran into her bedroom, waking her up with a face full of joy.

Well that’s how things should have gone. This is how it actually went…

“Muuuuummmmmm when will nana and grandad get here?” I questioned as I ran into her bedroom waking her up with a frightening zombie face with 3 birds nests in my hair.

“What happened to your hair?”

“nothing” i screamed then ran off.

“Olivia wake up! santa came and he even wrapped up the presents like i asked him to.” I yelled into her ear as she fell out of her 2 foot high bed and told me to be quiet and leave her alone. (to be fair it was 6 in the morning).

I dragged her out of her room to the  stockings and gave hers to her then made her go to the lounge, then said “wait there.”

“Wakkkkeeeeee uuupppppp!”i shouted down the hall. 5 minutes later my wonderful parents finally . . . .

Stayed in bed. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok so they got out of bed just in time for nana and grandad’s arrival at 7.30am.

When Nana and grandad got to our place we finally opened our presents.

After that we had to leave to go see more family. Luckily the day kept improving and I had a wonderful christmas.
